GREAT Bag, but!

So many good things to say about this bag, but it is not as big as it sounds. First the GOOD: Made in the USA, great construction, and appears to be bombproof. Now the BAD: This bag does not hold as much as you would think. I was replacing a cheap chineese-made bag that measured 26x12.4x14, thus approximately 4513.6 cu inches or 74L. I had this bag stuffed to the brim. The Big Mesa is supposedly 36x18.5x14 which actually comes out to 9324 cu inches or 152.7L, not the 90L stated. Either way, I transferred everything from the old bag to the Big Mesa and the Big Mesa is full, not popping at the seems full, but there's very little room left for anything else except maybe some small soft items that can be stuffed in. You would think that being more than 2x larger in cu inches the Big Mesa there would offer plenty of space, but there isn't. In fact, I think that the 90L statement is probably closer to the actual size than the cu inch measurement. After packing the Big Mesa, I took the actual measurements of the bag with it being full. They came out to 32x16x13. I'm not saying that there is some misinformation being given out, but....

CONCLUSION: So, do I like the bag - hell ya! Would I recommend it - you bet I would! This bag is so much better than my previous cheap piece of s**t bag I had before and I fully expect the Big Mesa to be around for years. However, just be aware that it is not quite as big as the dimensions seem and does not hold as much as you would think. It may just be me, my gear, and/or both, but for my uses, I didn't really gain the bigger bag that I was hoping for, instead I just got one that is bombproof and should last for years.

The Big Mesa did not disappoint!

I was looking for a big bag to hold all my snowboard gear and this definitely did the trick. I can fit my boots, helmet, 3 pairs of gloves, pants/bin, 2 outer jackets, 1 riding hoodie, 4 base layers, goggles, go pro, flannel shirt, plus more!

I do agree with a few other reviews that the back pack straps could be a little stronger, but otherwise this bag rocks

I love this bag!

The sole purpose of me getting this bag was so that all of my gear wouldn't fly around in the back of my Jeep, but it is also very well built, which is saying something because I've always been very hard on equipment, I can't tell you how many things that the Army has issued me that I've broken and had to return to get new. I would have no issues traveling with this bag. and I love the modular capabilities of it for me to be able to fit all of my gear.

Big Mesa Delivers!

I really like my new Big Mesa bag! Plenty of room and storage for all things small, medium, and large. Build quality is solid. I only have two wishes for the next generation bag. First, would be to add full padding to the helmet pouch, and second, to have the helmet and shoe pouches expand out rather than into the bag.

Not just for bike riders

I love my new Wildhorn Big Meas duffel. Key for me was the end pockets are large enough for 2 pair of shoes, (or a helmet). Empty bag only weighs about 3-1/2 lbs, unlike others which weigh up to 8 lbs!
I pack as follows for multi-day travel:
1. Left side end pocket - 1 pr Crocs, 1 pr running shoes.
2. Right side end pocket - socks, undies, meds.
3. Main compartment - 2 pr pants, 1 warm-up pant, 4 pr shorts, 3 swim suits, 4 t-shirts, 2 long sleeve t-shirts, 2 polo shirts, ditty bag, towel, book, dirty clothes bag.
4. top flap inside mesh pockets - charging cords, headlamp, paperwork.
5. Front flat long zip pocket - Compact 5 ft power strip with 6 AC and 3 USB outlets.
I roll all my clothes. Still plenty room for more. Sometimes I also bring Kindle or iPad.
